Bama Hillel Kickstarts Fall 2016!

Hillel at The University of Alabama Leaps into Fall 2016!

Bloom Hillel is off to an amazing start!

For the past few years, Bloom Hillel has grown dramatically in the number of students participating, our programming and outreach. Since 2011, when we opened our new building, sharing a courtyard with the local temple, we enjoyed thousands of visits from students, faculty, staff and community members.

This fall, our first two Shabbat dinners were each attended by 150 students (pictured above) and brunch last Sunday had more than 100 students (picture below). These are record numbers and we are definitely upping the food budget!

Our goal is to keep students connected to their Judaism while fully experiencing college and campus life. We are so pleased that these students are fully engaged in this process.

We hope that you are as excited as we are about the start of the 2016-1017 academic year. We rely on the support of those who surround us to make this happen. Thank you to our amazing Student Leadership Team, our interns and of course our Contributors who all help make Bloom Hillel the home away from home for so many students at UA.
