Sukkot and Simchat Torah at Bama Hillel

Join Bama Hillel for your choice of wonderful celebrations for Shabbat, the festival of Sukkot, and Simchat Torah.

Friday, October 6 @ 5:30 pm we kick off Shabbat with Pizza (and Pops!) in the Hut. Join us for Shabbat dinner and chose to eat indoors, outdoors, or in our sukkah!

Sunday, October 8th – Shakshuka in the Sukkah!  Join us for late night study hours from 8-midnight on Sunday, October 8th and fuel your studies with shakshuka (a traditional Israeli egg dish) and bagels!

Monday, October 9th, get your harvest on from 2-4 with out Sukkot Open Hut. Make your own harvest trail mix and Shake your Luluv and Etrog.  Cards with the story of Sukkot and blessings will be available, along with staff to guide you through the process if you would like to “shake it” :).

Celebrate Simchat Torah with us starting at 3:00 pm on Friday, October 13th with a celebration of the Torah.  Our Israeli Shabbat begins at 5:30 pm so plan to stay (or join us then) for plenty of shawarma, beef and lamb kabobs, falafel, hummus, Israeli salad, couscous, rice, baba ghanoush, and pita.
