On Monday October 29th, an estimated 500 members of the Tuscaloosa Jewish and interfaith communities came together in a candlelight vigil to remember and mourn the lives lost in the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. We would like to thank Temple Emanu-el Tuscaloosa, Chabad at The University of Alabama, ZBT, AEPi, SAM, SDT, our University community, and other community partners for working with us to organize this event. We would also like to thank Lisa Besnoy, Rabbi Kussi Lipskier, Dr. David Grady,
Pastor Wade Langer, Rabbi Steven Jacobs, and our student leaders Leslie Bashuk, Hayley Bardos, David Saxe, Jack Baron, and Avital Sabag for their kind words of support and comfort during our service. May the memories of those lost be a blessing, and may we always continue to find light in the darkness.
