Shabbat Services and Dinner with Illinois Hillel – Friday, January 13

Help us welcome students from Illinois Hillel this Friday, January 13! They are in town doing a tornado relief project.

You are invited to any one or all of these:

They will be leading a shabbat service at Hillel at 4:15- please join them!

At 5:30 pm we will all enjoy shabbat dinner together: BBQ Chicken from Pottery Grill with corn on the cob, veggie baked beans, potato salad and brownies.

At 6:30pm,  there will be a memorial service at Temple Emanu-el for Dr. Karen Steckol, retired professor and chair of the Dept of Communicative Disorders and former head of UA’s Faculty Senate.  She was always a big supporter of Hillel and is responsible for our wonderful private parking lot!  Dr Steckol passed away this past fall. After the memorial, there will be an oneg shabbat at the temple.
